An eye of discernment....

Are you fortunate enough to have the eye of discernment or have someone in your inner circle who does? What is discernment? The dictionary defines it as: the power to see what is not evident to the average mind. It reveals accuracy in the ability to distinguish and select what is true, appropriate or excellent. The real test for those with a discerning eye is to remember you have the ability to see, show and help others on their path. You cannot walk or live their path for them. Often we have a tendency to get caught in the trap of trying to not only discern the situation but take ownership of the person when they are not present to what is really going on in their life. It is crucial when helping others to remember what your role is and let go beyond that. Often with those we love and who are important to us we want to try to force them to see and be present to their real circumstances... when we do that we jeopardize our ability to fulfill our own potential and help others fulfill theirs. Have the eye....use it wisely and remember to let go when necessary.  Someone close to you have the eye, be  cognizant of their words...... they usually hold an uncanny accuracy.
