Duplicity or Authenticity....

There comes a time when we need to be honest with ourselves and examine the people around us. Duplicity always has a way of coming to the surface. The definition of duplicity: Deliberate deceptiveness in behavior or speech. Do you ever tell someone something, but not mean it? We often think we can manipulate people into doing what we want by saying the right things, but if we don't truly believe those things eventually the truth is revealed. It may take weeks, it may take years but while your waiting to be "found out" your duplicity eats at you and your relationships daily. Duplicity can also be defined as "lip service", do you say what will get you what you want to a person's face, but believe differently about the situation. Do you try to manipulate situations to your benefit at the cost of someone else? Duplicity is never rewarded.....you may get the result you want for a time.....but the truth will surface, your duplicity will be revealed and the ramifications of your actions usually far outlast the initial benefits you may have received from your duplicitous act....duplicity or authenticity? The choice is yours....
