Hone it down....

It is hard to achieve success by being a generalist. You do not hone a skill by diluting your attention to it's development. The only way to get to the next level is to focus with intent. No matter whether you goal is; to sharpen your business plan, increase your bottom line, develop those you lead or resolve personal problems; focus and intent are required. For example: it is one thing to say you want to help people, good thought, but that is "general thinking". Write down, how you can help...who you want to help....what skills and talents you have to help others. Once you write that down take a look at your actions. Are they general or are they  focused?  Ask yourself am I moving in a direction that fulfills my commitments, maintains my priorities and realizes my dream/goal?  Did you start today focused or with a general idea of what you want to achieve? Take time to hone it down and enjoy the benefit of better results.
