The true tools....

Contrary to what many believe, leadership is not about power or control. Leadership is giving of yourself for someone else's success. Leadership is taking initiative by giving direction and taking responsibility. It is using your influence to encourage and develop others.  It is leading with integrity and walking the same walk and talking the same talk, regardless of who you are with.  Leadership is being secure in who you are and not being defensive of your position or making excuses for your outcome.  It is ownership. Once you develop ownership you realize power and control are what others use as a manipulation tool to call themselves a leader.
