Pray or Paddle...

I am thankful for the opportunity and awareness surrounding the amount of prayer and the amount of paddling (work ethic) needed to empower my legacy. From earliest times life has been compared to a boat. What powers that boat? Me paddling-doing my part. However paddling without faith (prayer) leaves me empty, drained and often leads my boat completely off course. How about when in faith I hear God's voice to get out of the boat? This is where the magic happens. I’ve paddled and I've prayed and now is the time to fearlessly let go of the safety net (boat) and embrace my full calling. I am reminded of the verse in Matthew were Jesus speaks to Peter: "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.” How's your prayer life? Are you doing your part and paddling... working for the goal? Is God speaking to you to leave the safety of boat? Can I encourage you do life in such a way that you incorporate prayer, paddling and a fearless ear open ready to do what God is calling you into today.
