Surrendered...

I appreciate the joy that comes with loving unconditionally. It took me years to realize that love is never independent. Someone always gives. Someone always receives. I was great at giving but had a hard time receiving. I struggled with control and being independent, thinking I had to do it all. It was not until I learned the art of surrendering control that I fully understood and appreciated the ability to give and receive love unconditionally.. . It is the ability to always ask how can I serve you expecting nothing in return. The joy comes when that measure of love registers with someone and their eyes light up.... their heart melts a little.... the wall around their pain begins to crumble a bit and some light gets in.  Have you experienced that joy?
