I am thankful for the awareness that there is no future in the past. Everyone stumbles... we all have mistakes and failures in our past and if we are honest with ourselves in our future. The difference is how we respond. Do we give ourselves and others grace and forgiveness or do we keep beating ourselves up over it.... replaying the tape. There is no future in the past. Learn from it, accept the lessons it has taught you, own it and move on. I am sure all of us know the person who tells the same stories and is living in the past. It's like time stopped there for them and they never enjoy the present. Is that you today? Possibly you are reliving old hurts, old haunts and old injustice? Are you living dead? Every breath provides the opportunity to start fresh to begin anew, whether 24 or 84 God's not finished with you yet.
