Selfish or Selfless....

Love and selfishness cannot operate in the same space. There are many selfish leaders in our society. Leaders who put themselves and their wants above others others needs. We are ingraining a selfish society to love themselves first. There is nothing wrong with loving yourself, but a true leader loves his/her people. I love to serve others. It fuels my passion and ignites my dream. True love as a leader is about giving, serving and solving problems. Bottom line is it's about meeting people's needs where they are at; not expecting them to come to you and bow down to your leadership ability and ask for help. If you love genuinely, authentically and transparently you should be aptly able to detect what people you serve really need. So are you leading today with love or do you have selfish motives? Is it all about them or is it all about you? Even partly about you opens the door to selfishness. Loving genuinely is an act of selflessness....both contain the word self but the impact of the two are entirely different.
