Protection Mode...

I rejoice with the awareness that authentic love never fails. In a world where it is easy to walk away when things go south unconditional love walks in and walks on. It is there for the good and the not so good. We find in those moments 1 Corinthians awareness that "love never fails". People may fail us.... that is what forgiveness is for. Situations may fail us.... this is where grace walks in. This however is where most people start shutting down, closing up and going into protection mode. We think we are protecting our heart, when in fact we are building a wall around us that only authentic love can penetrate. Have things gone south on you? Possibly you have given up and shut down your heart to others. Can I encourage you in that exact moment.... love never fails. It is there waiting on you.
