Showing Up...

I rejoice in the awareness to keep showing up. It is easy to disengage when things don't go our way. We mentally say I don't need this and move in a different direction, often missing the lesson and the reward. Just like a pitcher practices his delivery and spends hours throwing to condition his arm to achieve that next level. Often he has a special pitching coach or mentor that helps develop him to his best. If he didn't show up to practice or lessons he is not ready to show up consistently in the game. Our lives are like that. We have to be committed to showing up and doing the work on ourselves, our talent and our relationships if we expect them to perform at their best. If we don't put the effort in but expect great results we are fooling ourselves and operating with entitlement. We are not entitled to anything, but have been given the ability to work for everything. Are you showing up today? Working in your giftedness? Working on your relationships? Showing up consistently takes work... are you committed?
