The transparency factor...
Even good people make mistakes. We all do, they are a part of life. The difference between success and failure is what we learn from the mistake. A successful leader acknowledges their mistake, learns what they can from them and works to correct their own faults instead of blaming others. Want to see an effective leader in action? Look for someone who takes responsibility for their actions and is honest to the point of being "transparent" to the people they serve and care for. Look for someone who actions are so transparent that they are admired, respected and trusted without reservation. Others are drawn to their words, their confidence and their presence. If your are looking in the right place you will see a person that others feel they have something to learn from, not just admire. Few people will risk their own self to be transparent enough to serve others at this level.
