Motives Matter
Motives matter. We can say we have strong character or operate with integrity, but at the end of the day are you justifying why you do what you do, or did what you did. If someone continually puts their agenda ahead of what is good for others, or if you are on a team, in a partnership or relationship, what is good for themselves above what is good for the unit, they may be displaying their true motive: self satisfaction first. When is comes to strengthening the core of a relationship motives matter. Pure motives are not prone to justification or excuses. If you have to hide or justify what you are doing you might want to exam your motive in doing it at all...... .
