Go, Go Now....

I am thankful for the awareness of reconciliation. I know many relationships have the opportunity to be restored to where they were or often even better than they were if we take the initiative. How often do we get our feelings hurt and then hide out and decide we are not going to trust that person anymore, talk to that person ever again. Sound familiar? I think of the verse in Matthew where Jesus says "Go, go now...go in private and go to set things right, to restore the relationship." Notice the word He uses several times....GO. Not wait till they come to you, not wait till a disaster strikes that brings you running back, but go now. Is there someone today that you need to go to? Is there a relationship that is waiting for restoration? Forgiveness? Does God not provide us the opportunity for both? Are you holding out on yours trying to "show" someone the way? Can I encourage you today instead to Go set things right, it will show them far more. If they are not receptive we are instructed to go again. How many times.... seventy times seven ring a bell?
