Naively Nice...
I chose to let others know who I am. I demonstrate my values, positive attitude and faith. My light shines bright for all the world to see. Recently I was told I was naively nice to people who didn't deserve it or hadn't earned it. My response.... we are told in Matthew 5 to pray for our enemies, so being nice and showing unearned respect shines light in the midst of darkness and is what I am commanded to do. I chose love, light and life beyond measure. How about you? Are you praying for those who hurt you? Did you know they hurt others because they are hurting inside? What if we stopped the hurt? What if love covered the pain like a balm? When naively nice walks in the face of darkness and demonstrates love walls begin to crumble and hope shines like a beacon to a different way of life. Go ahead and call me naive. If it changes one life I have served my purpose well.
