Besides Yourself....

I am thankful for the opportunity to serve another; the Lord modeled this when He washed His disciples feet. I desire to be patient with another; made possible because of the Spirit's presence in me. I choose to be courteous to another; even when someone is difficult or disagreeable I work to treat them with gentleness and love. Most of all I realize the opportunity to model the example for another; .."in speech, in life, in love and in faith ..." found in Timothy 4:12.  Are you thinking about only you today? Is your first thought "what do I get out of it" or "what's in it for me"? Servant leadership changes us. It means we look for every open door and opportunity to serve and love on others? Can I encourage you to join me and serve first? The rest of life will begin to fall in place when you focus on someone besides yourself.
