Pedestal of Pride....

I acknowledge on of the fastest ways to kill my potential is pride or ego; allowing myself to be overly impressed with my accomplishments or gifts. Awards can positively affirm our potential but coveted or idoled can quickly empty us of our future potential. We begin to place more value in awards and ourselves than we do in the One who provided us the opportunity. Pride kills our future and ego stomps all over it as it is going down. Are you holding yourself up on a pedestal of pride today. Do you have to prove you are right? Possibly you spend endless hours telling everyone of your past accomplishments. Key word is past, and while you are relaying them to others your future potential is slipping away. Is that you? Have you let pride or ego take control? Possibly you are always trying to affirm to yourself or others how great you are. Greatness stands for itself. There is never a need to prove it.
