A Contagious Calm....

I choose to be a contagiously calm person, to remain sober minded and clear thinking... knowing that God is in control. Gentleness and loving-kindness have won more battles, with less casualties than anger, threats or force.

The Greek translate gentleness as a temperament that is seasoned and mature. It envisions an attitude that is fitting to the occasion, levelheaded and tempered. The gentle reaction is one of steadiness, even-handedness, fairness. It looks humanely and reasonably at the facts presented.

Its opposite would be overreaction or a sense of panic. It would be using force to try to get your way. Which would you say you employ in your daily life... with you family, friends or co workers? How would others describe you? Can I encourage you to find the contagious calm inside you? Everyone has it, but it is a skill like many other traits that needs to be honed. Will you join me in honing it?
