Are you effective.....

We cannot demand of others what we first don't demand of ourselves. In relationships, whether business or personal if we are a leader people follow our lead. If we demand loyalty from others we must demonstrate it ourselves. If we demand service of others we must also be willing to provide service no matter the time, circumstances or benefits. In relationships where people follow behind us, or walk in step beside us,  they can only go as far as we go. If as the leader, mentor or model we stop growing our ability to lead stops with it. Effective leaders, mentors and role models are constantly looking for ways to improve their skills because they "recognize" that the lives of many depend on not only their growth, but their humility and their service.
