I am thankful for the opportunity to be a people builder. There a many, many people starving for positive attention, young and old. They have spent their childhood being criticized or condemned by those who should lift them up and value them the highest. I have first hand experience with this. It takes perseverance, confidence and sheer will sometimes to overcome the negativity around you. Especially when it is all you have ever known. Possibly like me you didn't have someone speaking positively into your life. Think about that. You have a chance to make a difference now. Every one of us can be be someone else's number one fan. Whether it is a child, coworker, family member or a divine appointment God provided you the opportunity to encourage and affirm them. Pick them up when they have fallen. Carry them on your shoulders awhile. Celebrate their accomplishments. Pray with and for them in their struggles.
Will you join me today and be that person who makes a difference in someone else's life. Putting others first is the first step in being a people builder and is the heart of servant leadership.
